We booked initially a car with the well known company Avis. But once arrived by plane in Lima, Avis asked us twice the amount initially discussed. We refused and they cancelled our reservation. After some search we found Express rent a car. We discussed everything through whatsapp because they don t speak english and no spanish for me. We received for a period of 23 days at a good price a very well maintained Hyundai Elantra. The car was in perfect conditions (european standards) except the brake pads which was necessary to change during the 4500 km road trip. But it was easy to fix and cheap, around 35 Usd. For the rest, the car runs perfectly, without any vibration or else. GPL was used alternatively with SP95 because the car was equipped with gaz and fuel. Once returned in Lima, Express did a full check and give me back the full amount of the guarantee. I normally never add a comment in google but honestly, after the bad experience with Avis, i can strongly recommend to foreign visitors who wants to rent a car in Peru to go through Express than other well known company. Additionaly we received some message during the trip from Davide just to know if our trip was fine and without problems. I appreciated. Thank you Davide for all. Seb from Switzerland

Muy mala atención en AVIS Javier Prado. No hay personal que atiende y se demoran demasiado. Peor que me entregaron una Toyota Hilux que tenía problemas con la batería. No es recomendable alquilar su carro con AVIS.

This place doesn?t exist. It?s the hertz location. If you are on vacation don?t use this place or a foreigner. I had to contact the police. The manager who is a lady lies there and they do not have any reservation when you get there. It?s a scam beware foreigners. It is also public news now that since I have contacted the central office of Thrifty in Lima Peru they have been over booking car rentals because there system is messed up since December 22, 2018. They are clearly scamming people out of money. they also refuse to let me sign there book to get my refund for 22 dollars. Sounds like a 3500 soles fine. Thats what you get for being a scam artist.
